Default In The Summer, should the big 4 networks air reruns of Classic Tv Shows?

During the summer, i T would be nice for the big 4 networks go air their respective Classic Tv shows.

Like ABC could air Happy Days, Adam-12, Soap?

NBC could air Hazel, F-Troop, Sanford And Son

CBS could air The Beverly Hillbillies, All In The Family, The Mary Tyler Moore Show

F Troop aired on ABC. I would like to see black and white shows colorized like CBS did for I Love Lucy and TAGS. CBS should do The Honeymooners or The B&W episodes of Gunsmoke in color.

My Local CBS Station Airs The Andy Griffith Show weekday mornings at 9am and also on Saturday at 7pm & 7:30pm since 2006 They also airs the Jeffersons every Saturday Afternoon at 1:30pm and 2pm and Sunday afternoon at the same time but sometime they preempt it with Football or any other Sports.

Which back in the late 80s through early 90s Andy Griffith Show & The Jeffersons were also in reruns on my Local CBS Station even The Addams Family & Twilight Zone

just one word

[SIZE="7"][/NO!!!SIZE]

bad enough that they did it to ILL and TAGS. They were filmed in black and white and they should stay that way. CASE CLOSED!

Another thing: It's The Andy Griffith Show, not TAGS!!! TAGS is a game you play with your kids. ILL is I Love Lucy. I didn't even know Lucy was ILL. I should send her a card. Look, people. This is not Twitter. You can write 140 paragraphs on your post if you like. You don't have to take shortcuts. When you talk about a show, spell it out and type the whole name, even if the spelling and grammar is wrong. It doesn't matter. Otherwise, I will have no clue what you're talking about. What if Archie Bunker's Place was called Archie's Super Saloon? How will you TAGS that one? I'm sorry but that really, really bugs me.

And now, back to our topic......

Another thing I hate is the colorization of Black & White movies and TV shows. I agree with the fact that if they were made in black and white, they should stay in black in white. That was Ted Turner's idea so it's his fault. What's also bad is trying to watch these old shows in HD or whatever new video format comes along soon, like 4K. That's not how they were meant to be seen. They should just be left alone the way they were so that future generations can enjoy them and hopefully appreciate them in their original form. If you think this is bad, try and watch some episodes of shows like "The Phil Silvers Show" and "Leave It To Beaver" and many others on YouTube. What people have done to them on video is simply disgusting!

I also agree with the fact that the networks could try and put them back on prime time. I was thinking they could go on Fridays or Saturdays when ratings for any series tend to be very low. They could do what Nick at Nite or TV Land did a few years ago when their programmers still had brains. They would have something called "TV Land Time Warp" where they would take an entire lineup of classic shows from a particular date, like ABC's Thank God It's Friday group or their great Friday night early 70s lineup, or CBS's Saturday night 70s lineup, and they would show it in its entirety. The next week, they would feature another classic programming block from the past. This would work a lot better than having more reruns of Dr Ken or The Muppets. This would also be great for a network like Decades, since it ties in to the historical angle that they're always trying to show. If they do ever decide to go with this idea, which I honestly doubt, I will only ask one thing. Please show it in Canada, too!! Please!

^^I don't like when they colorize black and white TV shows or movies either.Once in a while it's interesting to look at but that's about it.I also agree that some or even a lot of older shows look ridiculous when they're shown changed into a high definition format.It often makes shows that were originally shot on film,especially black and white ones look like they were filmed on video tape.

TV Land Time Warp played all episodes of shows from certain years, but I really don't think they ever played any retro ABC, CBS or NBC lineups, at least not in their entirety. I remember them being really careless sometimes (e.g. playing a 1976 episode of Sanford & Son during a "1973 time warp").

Reverse the original networks for F-Troop and Adam 12. F-Troop aired on ABC. Adam 12 aired on NBC.
