Default Sitcoms That Had a Secret Romance...

A sitcom that had two people begin to date but do it secretly and the plot lasted more than just one episode. I can only think of a few but I'm sure there are more.

Dave Nelson and Lisa Miller on "NewsRadio" They had a secret office romance as early as episode two that only Beth knew about. It continued through episode 11 when she tricked them into telling everyone.

Mike Seaver and Julie Costello on "Growing Pains" She was the babysitter. He was a horndog. When they fell in love they decided to keep it a secret. This lasted a few episodes before Mike proposed to Julie and just before they got married, she left him.

Steven Hyde and Jackie Burkhardt on "That '70s Show" I believe it was during season five when Hyde and Jackie began secretly dating. I don't remember how long it lasted but I know at one point their relationship was in trouble because it was no longer a secret - therefore no longer hot.

and probably the one most people would say...

Chandler Bing and Monica Gellar on "Friends" It started in London but despite their best efforts, it's didn't stay in London. Joey found out and was tortured being unable to tell the others about it. Eventually Phoebe found out then Rachel then (hilariously) Ross.

Any more?

Barney Rubble and Wilma Flintstone. What, you never knew? But in animated seriousness, I think Ms.Krabappel and Principal Skinner on The Simpsons were secret for awhile, but I may be wrong, it might have been just one episode.

When Tommy and Pam started dating, they kept it a secret for a while (it's been a while since i seen the show, and that's how i remembered it.)

I like FRIENDS but I've always wondered why Monica & Chandler were keeping their romance a secret? I mean with 3 single guys and 3 single girls who are all friends it's inevitable that 1 one the guys and 1 of the girls would become more than friends, right?
Also when Joey fell for Rachel why was he afraid to tell Ross?

I think they kept it a secret because they weren't sure how the others would handle it. If they would be accepting or not. And actually 2 of the guys and 2 of the girls became more than friends. Don't forget Ross and Rachel.

Because Rachel was Ross's ex girlfriend and they had a history and a baby together. Besides you should never date your friend's ex, it's just wrong.

"you should never date your friends ex, it's just wrong."

WHY? That doesn't make sense

I mean think about it. I could never date someone that dated one of my friends. It would just be too weird and uncomfortable, at least for me. It's just not something you should do. If you do it, fine that's your choice but to me it's just wrong.

well; you're entitled to your own pinion but I still don't see anything wrong with it. My brother did it and all 3 people didn't mind.

Exactly treky. Not only did one of my brothers date another brother's former girlfriend, they ended up getting married and have been married for over 30 years. And there's never been any awkwardness in the family about it. I'm sure it doesn't happen that often but it does happen.

On Scrubs with J.D.'s and Elliot's on again-off again romance. Didn't they get back together one time and then try to keep it a secret from their friends/coworkers at the hospital? I think so.

Oops, sorry treky I wasn't asking you specifically, just in general. I haven't seen an episode of Scrubs in a while but I'm pretty sure that's how it went.
