Default Episode with Debra's sister

This is the episode where we see her sister for the first and I think only time and she announces that she is becoming a nun. Ok, I will admit, I can't stand Debra anyway so maybe my attitude is based on that. I feel that Debra is a whiner in this episode. She is always complaining about how she never gets Ray's help with the kids in most episodes, but in this particular episode, she is mad at her sister because she gets to travel?! She acts like just because she is a mother she can't have a life? In fact, I think too many women in these modern times feel the same. Oh we have kids, our life is over, no more fun for mom and dad! BULL! You have grandparents over 3-4 times daily. Your husband makes decent money. Instead of whining, why not go away alone for a weekend? No one's life will end because you aren't there for a few nights! In fact, in Debra's case, everyone will also get a break from her yelling and screaming! Some women can't financially afford to have a weekend getaway alone, but Debra can! So I wish she would shut up and go away!

BRAVO!!!! It is like I wrote this post!! I feel exactly the same way you do about Debra (I can't stand her) ! To the point where I really can't even watch the show much, I like everyone else in the show but her!

I agree with everything you posted! Debra should count her blessings!! A faithful, good looking husband who makes good money. Three beautiful healthy children (including a set of identical twins ,how cool!!) ,a beautiful house and she doesn't even have to work!!!! OK her Mother in law is a pain, but with all the other plusses in her life, I think I could overlook Marie being annoying! But NO Debra just complains, complains ,complains!!!

Thank you! Yeah, with all the positive she has in her life, Marie is probably the worst she really deals with. BTW, I think Marie is hilarious! I watch more for Robert, Frank and Marie. And so Ray doesn't do much around the house - big deal! He WORKS outside the home and she has no job but to take care of the house and the kids. She doesn't do it all on her own because Marie is constantly helping - yes, she will never let Debra forget, but so what? And yes, I hear it all the time that taking care of kids is a fulltime job, but can you really count all those hours they are in school fulltime? Why can't she get things done then? And then she has accused Ray of not letting her doing anything outside the home. Excuse me, but she does what she wants anyway because she clearly wares the pants in that house! As immature and whimpy as Ray is, I feel she has many more faults.

Doesn't anybody else find it strange how the sisters don't resemble one another in any way?

What I would like to know is how her sister felt about their parents getting divorced.

God bless you always!!!
