Chico and the Man had THE worst final season of any show. It was just not the same without Freddie Prinze. Even Charo didn't save it. Anybody else agree?

The final season of "Chico" is brutal, and ultimately pointless without Freddie Prinze. Ditto for "Laverne & Shirley" without Cindy Williams. The final season of "Bewitched" is pretty bad, too -- Elizabeth Montogomery seems like she doesn't want to be there, and Samantha comes across as sort of mean-spirited.
When I think about it, when it comes to long-running shows, the later seasons are pretty weak in most cases. |

Someone will probably want to hit me about this, but I Love Lucy's last season wasn't that great. And the last episode was awful.

I would have to disagree about the final season of "I Love Lucy" (although I won't hit anyone). There are some real classics during that season, like "Lucy and the Loving Cup", "Lucy Raises Chickens", and "Lucy Does the Tango". Perhaps it's not as strong as some of the other seasons (although this is debateable), but I wouldn't put it in the same league as the final seasons of "Chico", "Happy Days", "Laverne & Shirley", etc.

As for the worst final seasons, here are my picks:
1. "The Wonder Years" - They ruined the show big time IMHO by having Kevin "walk on the wild side" instead of be his innocent self like he was in junior high. 2. "Laverne & Shirley" - I hated it more for the Playboy episode than the lack of Shirley. 3. "The Waltons" - Even though it's not really a sitcom Olivia's absence really took its toll on the show IMHO. |

Okay.. speaking of season finales, there is one that i have missed, out of ALL of my fave shows. Now, it may have been about 8 years or so, but does ANYONE know what happened on the series finale of "Who's The Boss?" i manage to watch the reruns all the time, but i don't ever remember watching the very last episode. If someone could refresh my memory that would be greatly appreciated
-thanx, Paige |

Oh, I have that on tape somewhere. What happened....I think Tony had moved for some reason I can't remember (oh, didn't he get a job at a school?) and Angela tried living wherever it was that he lived, but she couldn't stand it so she went home. Then I guess Tony got second thoughts too and he showed up at her door, gave her a big kiss, and the show ended.

Hmm..just to name a few:
Roseanne: Although this is prob my favorite TV show in the whole wide world, the last season really bombed...there were a few funny episodes (I use the term 'few' loosy), and the final episode is one of my favorites, but all that running around made me dizzy. The Wonder Years: Again, I simply adore this show...but the last season sucked. The Facts of Life: It was time for that show to end... Chico and The Man: Need I say more? |
