I LOVE LUCY Still Tops in the Ratings

I'm surprised nobody posted about this. The Wednesday, December 23, 2015 airing of I Love Lucy was the fourth time CBS has broadcasted new colorized episodes of I Love Lucy since the end of 2013. And each time, it's gotten very solid numbers. For this most recent installment a couple weeks ago, I Love Lucy was the top-rated show for Wednesday. Yes, it beat out EVERYTHING on the air that night. And it came in 11th for the week (see link above). And incidentally, it should be noted that the colorized Andy Griffith Show special that aired on on December 25, 2015 was the 15th highest-rated show of the week. So I'm pretty confident that we can expect more prime time colorized broadcasts of I Love Lucy, and maybe Andy, too.

HI Hazel Anyday, I hope you get your colorized eps. And I agree, everybody loves Lucy. I just hit 60, and I remember when color TVs were a really big deal.
But my personal preference is to watch 50s vintage shows in their original black and white. But not everyone feels this way, so I hope all the eps come out in color as well. Here's to a great show! Have fun viewing Lucy-I know I will.
