Dale Bumpers, a former Governor of Arkansas (1971-1975) and later a U.S. Senator (1975-1999), (August 12, 1925 - January 1, 2016), no 91st birthday.

Vilmos Szigmond, a cinematographer who worked on Close Encounters of the Third Kind and The Deer Hunter, and most recently on the TV series The Mindy Project (June 16, 1930 - January 1, 2016), No 86th birthday.

Vilmos Zsigmond was one of the best known cinematographers in the world. He not only worked with Spielberg, but Woody Allen, John Boorman on Deliverance, Brian De Palma, Robert Altman, and won an Oscar for Close Encounters. He was lifelong friends with Laszlo Kovacs, another legendary Hungarian cinematographer.

Hasekll Wexler, another famous cinematographer, died last week. Wexler won two Academy Awards.

Pat Harrington, Jr., who played building superintendent Dwayne Schneider on One Day at a Time, has died; No 87th birthday. Harrington had Alzheimer's disease and recently had been hospitalized after a fall. (August 16, 1929 - January 6, 2016).

We regret to inform you about the passing-away of the English singer-songwriter, record producer, and actor, David Bowie, after 69 years 2 days on the air. (8 January 1947 - 10 January 2016).

Dan Haggerty. I know most of you don't know of Dan but I loved him in the Grizzly Adams series and movies. He died yesterday at the age of 74. I met him a few years ago and he was so sweet and such a people person. R.I.P. Dan!

Grizzly Adams, that is one show I haven't seen listed in syndication. When was that show on? mid 70's.

So many have great memories of that show, it's a shame it didn't last longer.

It aired from 1977-1978. It was based on a 1974 theatrical movie.
