Default Name 2 things you want to change about MeTv

Here's mine:

1. Ditch the Sc-Fi Saturday evenings with some Crime Dramas. Some examples would include: Mannix , Perry Mason, The Mod Squad, Macgyver, Diagnosis : Murder. Id take any of those shows over Sc-Fi .

2. Get rid of E\I and paid programming. Come on , all that time wasted when you could have put something decent on. Note: This only applies to weekends. I can think of at least 50 Tv shows i d rather be watching then E\I or paid programs.

What things would you change about MeTv?

They can't drop E/I because it's required by the law.

Quote:
The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) requires that every full-service broadcast television station in the U.S. air at least three hours of these programs every week to retain their station license. The E/I program requirements were enacted as part of the Children's Television Act of 1990.

Any paid programming comes from your local affiliate and not MeTV itself.

Another thing I would do is give it more variety. Everyday for months on end, its the same worn out shows that have been played over 600000x before . Maybe MeTv could put a variety show on like Rowan And Martins Laugh In instead of the crummy Mamas Family

1. Right now, their best block of sitcoms are on in the early morning hours. I would change those times to mid-afternoon.

Current times:

5:00 am My Three Sons
5:30 I Love Lucy
6:00 Brady Bunch
6:30 Petticoat Junction
7:00 Beverly Hillbillies
7:30 Beverly Hillbillies

My changes:

5:00 PM My Three Sons
5:30 I Love Lucy
6:00 Brady Bunch
6:30 Petticoat Junction
7:00 Beverly Hillbillies
7:30 Beverly Hillbillies

2. The second change I would make should be no surprise to any of you.

I WANT THIS CHANNEL AND ANTENNA TV IN CANADA ASAP! I don't care if it's illegal. Change the damn rules!

I don't get Andy Griffith because a local channel airs it. I get Gilligan's Island weeknights and Mayberry RFD on Sundays.

The only thing I'd change is the ability to get this channel in all area's. I want it so bad I can't stand it.

I wish I had ME-TV again??

I wish they would get rid of the E/I stuff. I know its by law but I think the FCC should worry about other concerns. Like...end the credit crunch, stop with all the damn commercials etc.

Also, I would get rid of the Sci-Fi stuff and the westerns. They have been played to death. Think outside the box like Antenna did with Johnny Carson.

The Westerns are on way too much and I would love to see them gone too. I also think they need to get rid of the EI shows. The FCC is stupid for requiring all over the air stations to air EI programming. I'm sure very few kids watch the EI shows on MeTV and Antenna TV.

I do agree about the sitcoms. It's schedule is mainly made up of Crime Dramas. All the good sitcoms are either on early in the morning or late at night.

For shows from the 1970-1979 era, you should try Antenna Tv. They have a lot of good programs from that era

I watch Antenna TV but just never understood why they focus on shows before 1970

I would like MeTV to go on the air in the Springfield/Greenfield, Massachusetts area on Comcast and Charter cable TV.
I also think Home Improvement and Coach would be a perfect fit for MeTV Network.

I wish they'd put all their westerns on in prime-time and stop speeding up the closing credits.
