Default I'm in mourning right now due to the unexpected death of..

MY SONY VCR from 2004 and just died suddenly today while I was at work

Plus I was recorded something to watch when I arrived home and when I looked at the front of the VCR I noticed it was not on and I thought it was unplugged but realized it was DONE

2004-2015. Died 2 days before the new year

So sorry for your loss! I use my VCR almost everyday! I have a VCR/DVD combo player. I have a lot of video tapes which haven't been converted and I still watch them!

That's a long time for VCR to live. When I had VCRs, mine passed usually around 7-8 years. My condolences lol.

I only have four video cassettes, which my combo unit prevented me from dubbing to DVD. And BTW, the VCR portion of my combo unit died 15 months after I bought it. So I took a chance and bought a used VCR from the Salvation Army for $8. It works fine so far, but then I also rarely use it.

Sorry to hear that. Do they still make VCR's?
I was shocked recently to see on Amazon, they still make new vinyl records for music that comes out. I don't think they sell music on cassettes anymore, so something older than that, records, was unexpected. I'm glad they still make cds.

More like how the Browns can find a winning team!

But seriously...that does suck that your VCR died. I know I get mine at the second-hand store...and I'm planning to get a VCR/DVD Recorder soon....

Yea, I'm sure you can find one on ebay.

The VCR's I use currently are working fine, no problems at the moment. Several years ago when VCR's were starting to be phased out, I bought two Panasonic VCR's. I still have them, both new and unopened inside the boxes, ready in case I need them.

Vinyl has made a huge comeback over the past couple of years. It seems that almost every new album gets released on vinyl.

True, vinyl has made a comeback. Elton John's new album coming out in February will be available on vinyl. But I'll probably order the deluxe edition CD because it has two bonus tracks.

I still have to get a head cleaner for my VCR/DVD player but I still have a VCR that a family member gave me. But it sucks for me. I have tons of videotapes. Even worse, where can I buy blank videotapes?
