Default Favorite Beach Party Movie?

I personally enjoy the 1st one the most, although they all had their moments.

You forgot:

Pajama Party (1964)
How to Stuff a Wild Bikini (1965)
The Ghost in the Invisible Bikini (1966)

All part of the Beach Party franchise.

My vote is for the first.

Though The Ghost In The Invisible Bikini is the worst of the series, it's still a fun cheesy flick. Harvey Lembeck plays his Eric Von Zipper character for the final time. Plus you have Nancy Sinatra, Tommy Kirk in his second appearance in the series (Pajama Party being his first), and two film icons Basil Rathbone, and Boris Karloff.

Oh, and Ski Party is also fun. Frankie Avalon and Dwayne Hickman in drag!

The only reason I didn't like The Ghost In The Invisible Bikini, was because Frankie Avalon wasn't in it. It just didn't feel the same without Frankie.

P.S .- Did you know Boris Karloff, made two cameo appearances in the Beach Party Movies? The first one was Beach Blanket Bingo, and the other was in The Ghost In The Invisible Bikini . Those two roles were one of his final roles before his death in 1968??

I agree, the ones without Frankie or Annette definitely had a different feel to them.

Karloff fortunately did one very memorable movie in 1968, which many consider his last truly good performance- Targets. After that he appeared in a handful of of bad Mexican horror films.

All the Frankie and Annette ones were fun to watch. I also liked 1987's Back to the Beach with them as an older couple. And there's 1978's Zuma Beach, with Suzanne Summers. I caught that on TV years ago and ended up enjoying it.
