There was a time in my life when it came to being a couch potato I was SECOND TO NONE.
 When pay-TV arrived in my hometown (Redford, Michigan) in 1980 I was like a child on Christmas morning.  : Little did I know that 25 years later I began questioning WHY was I paying for all this junk.  Two years later I "cut the cord" and began seeking my programming via other means.
