Default Is it a good show?

I began watching it just a week ago, and am wondering : is it worth watching the entire way through? From what I saw it looks good.

Yes. Newhart is one of my favorite shows, and it's a long-running show that didn't have any weak seasons.

I always liked Newhart. Bob Newhart could always crack me up by just walking in the room. His facial expressions are classic. lol

I just watched 2 episodes and found it hilarious! I sort of knew I would like it because I liked Bob Newhart 1970s sitcom. Bob Newhart is one of the very few comedians that can make me laugh out loud. I'm glad I discovered this show!

I watched the pilot yesterday and I was really impressed.
It has the nice feel I'm looking for and it, the comedy is good and it has a nice setting (I'd like to visit Vermont some autumn!).
In Italy wasn't very popular and I don't even remember airing on the main channels.

I'm looking forward for the rest of the series.
With television I'm becoming more nostalgic each day, and it's difficult for me to appreciate anything new.
So I'm glad to rediscover something from the past. From the same decade I loved also Family Ties and Three's Company. Alf was ok, and I didn't like very much Cheers.

I plan to watch this one, Gloden Girls and maybe Growing Pains.

Newhart is easily one of my favorite shows. It's a wild adventure to watch it all the way through every season (which I highly recommend). I agree with the poster above that it has a nice setting; very relaxing and comforting.

There were several cast changes during its run, all of which could be argued improved the show. Leslie (Jennifer Holmes) was replaced with Stephanie (Julia Duffy) for the second season. Kirk (Steven Kampmann) was replaced with Michael (Peter Scolari) in the third season. A few of the minor characters (Jim & Chester, LD&D, etc.) who appear in the early years have their roles expanded greatly as the seasons progress. All that being said, the first two seasons were fantastic and definitely worth watching as well.

If I had to pick one "bad" season it would be season 7, but I may be the only one who feels that way. In that season the creative crew behind the show changed drastically, and I think the quality suffered a bit, though it did have one of my favorite episodes of the series ("Murder at the Stratley"). They seemed to get back on track by season 8. The later seasons have a more pronounced offbeat humor reminiscent of Green Acres.

Bob Newhart plays the straight man wonderfully.

I love Newhart! One of my favorite sitcoms! And of course I love The Bob Newhart Show from the 70s as well! They're both beyond awesome!

I've seen the first three episodes and it cracks me up. Really fun comedy. Also a nice thing to see is that Newhart was really having fun while doing it, you can clearly see from his smile during some scenes.
At the moment it's an adorable show, I'm hoping I will enjoy the rest of it as I'm doing now.

Newhart is one of my absolute favorites. Hilarious from beginning to end.

I actually prefer it over The Bob Newhart Show (which I do enjoy)
