Lyndsy Fonseca Returns to "Agent Carter" for DWTS Crossover Ep.
Lyndsy Fonseca Returns to "Agent Carter" for Dreamy DWTS Crossover
by Natalie Abrams 12/26/15 Cartinelli fans, rejoice: EW has learned exclusively that Lyndsy Fonseca will be returning to "Agent Carter" in season 2 — but there’s a big twist that involves a crossover with "Dancing With the Stars". The "Nikita" and "How I Met Your Mother" alum will reprise her role as Peggy Carter’s (Hayley Atwell) friend and confidante, Angie Martinelli, in a dream sequence, which includes what is sure to be an epic song and dance number. Here’s the deal: “Episode 8 ends with a cliffhanger where Peggy and Jarvis [James D’Arcy] get in big trouble and are knocked out,” executive producer Michele Fazekas tells EW. “Episode 9 begins with a dream sequence that starts in black and white — by the way, Atwell was made for black and white. She looks like Rita Hayworth. She looks spectacular.” Then, in true Wizard of Oz fashion, everything goes into color, leading into a full-on Broadway musical dance number that features an original song from lyricist David Zippel and composer Christopher Lennertz, in conjuction with executive producers Tara Butters and Fazekas. Choreographed by "Dancing with the Stars’" Louis van Amstel, the sequence features a number of pros from DWTS, including van Amstel, Dmitry Chaplin, Karina Smirnoff, Anna Trebunskaya, Sasha Farber and Damian Whitewood. Dancers Robert Roldan, Malene Ostergaard, Amanda Balen, Serge Onik, Jenya Shatilova, Lacey Escabar, Alla Kocherga and Paul Kirkland also join them. How does Angie fit into all of this? She’s basically the Jiminy Cricket, according to Fazekas. “She’s your conscience and she’s speaking the things that Peggy maybe can’t say to herself,” she says. “It ties things back together from the first season and it’s connecting all of these things in a way that only a dream can do.” http://www.ew.com/article/2015/12/24...crossover-dwts |
