I own over a 1500 DVDs and some are getting scuffs and light scraches. I also have a flat screen HDTV with a DVD player built in that is super sensitive. If a DVD has a slight mark on it, the player pauses it. Sometimes it skips over it, but sometimes it fereezes up, making me shut it off.
I was thinking of buying a buffer machine to clean and fix the DVDs. I have read some reviews saying they work very good, but I am looking for opinions here on them. So does anyone here have one? And do they work? |

Yes and yes. I have a SkipDr. Works great. As long as the scratch isn't so deep you can see light through the top of the disc when holding it up to a light, those are un-reparable.

Does it somewhat clean the dvd's. I work at a library and they clean the audio cds and video dvds by hand. Having over 30 that are returned each day, cleaning with a rag is a hassle. I keeping thinking compact discs have been around for ? 30 years, you would think there would be a quicker way to clean them. If yours works well, I would love to suggest one for the library. How does it work??
