Gregg Henry To Recur on "Chicago Med"

"Chicago Med" Books "Scandal" Star in Recurring Role

Veteran character actor Gregg Henry has landed a recurring role on "Chicago Med", EW has learned exclusively. Henry will play Dr. Downey, a rock star surgeon who takes a shine to Dr. Rhodes (Colin Donnell).

“Gregg Henry is a terrific actor who always gives textured and nuanced performances,” executive producers Andrew Schneider and Diane Frolov say. “We’re delighted to have him playing Dr. Downey, a man with a secret who sees a special talent in Dr. Rhodes.”



"Chicago Med" returns Tuesday, Jan. 5 at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.

Henry will first appear in an episode slated for Feb. 2.
