Loved this show because it promoted the "SINK LIFESTYLE" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This was a show was about two people being married without kids and never ever talked about having kids at all. Single Income without kids since Bob was the breadwinner and that's why I like the show so much

I would be more for the DINK Lifestyle, Double Income No kids

Bob and Emily talked about adopting a baby in "P-I-L-O-T" in season one. They even had a woman from the adoption agency inspect their apartment. It's sort of a weird episode because nothing happens in the end.

Why was adoption mentioned instead of them making one?

Bob says that they had been trying to conceive, but nothing had happened after 3 years. Bob mentions this to Jerry and he tells Bob they should try to adopt. Jerry is adopted. I agree with what you are saying! I'm glad the writers showed that life can be fulfilling without children. I think "P-I-L-O-T" was a misfire and I'm glad they didn't pursue that direction.
