Need Confirmation on "Tiger Tiger!" episode?

Hey All,

Many program guides and Barry Williams book Growing up Brady mention that Bobby fears Tiger has been "run over" in this episode. Really sad, because according to Barry and Sherwood, from what I remember, this is how the original Tiger died.

During the filming of "Katchoo" (Jan's allergy episode) they had to put the replacement Tiger in a special harness because he would not sit still for the tearful goodbye scene. I have watched that scene on DVD, and never noticed any harness used. (The new dog had not been trained well.)

But I recall of no lines said by Bobby about Tiger being "Run Over" in "Tiger! Tiger." The plot of that episode was that Tiger runs away, and the family suspects a possible robbery due to recent break-ins in the neighborhood. Tiger was actually found tending to a new litter of puppies.

According to Sherwood and Lloyd Schwartz' book "Brady,Brady,Brady" the new Tiger had a leash on and that leash was nailed to the floor of the boys bedroom in a way that prevented him from moving. This was done because the trainer, who was scared to tell the Schwartzes what happened to the original Tiger, instead went to the pound and found a look-a-like who was unfortunely not trained at all.
