Default There a movie that you really wanna go see but. . . .

It gets Terrible reviews online, in the papers and on television. Will you STILL go see it in the theater?

Cool

I usually find that my opinion is the opposite of the critics. So if a movie gets panned by the critics thatr actually encourages me to go and see it. If a movie gets lavished with praised by the critics I'll probably wait for it to come out on DVD and check it out of the library. That way if I don't like it at least it didn't cost me any money!

TOTALLY!! I still want to see a movie even if it gets bad revues!! To each their own. One man's trash is another man's treasure!!!

I think a lot of times people base how good a movie is on what other people think! I don't! I judge things on my own, I tend to like a lot of movies that aren't real popular rather than big blockbusters if I find the topic in my interest, it doesn't have to have the raves of the critics and be a million dollar production!!!

Hi Marv, if the critics pan a movie and you go and see it does that mean you end up liking it? I would be interested in hearing a movie you liked that the critics hated.

For me if critics don't like I movie I just say thank you for saving me 10.00

I don't always like a movie when it's panned by the critics but it often turns out that way! I can't think of any specific examples off the top of my head.

I pay zero attention to critics so it never bothers me what they think of a movie. Their tastes are no better than anyone else's. I don't let other people choose what I watch.

I've never paid attention to critics either. When it comes to music, movies and TV shows, I decide myself what I like and don't like.

Same with me!!! In every aspect of life. I tend to march to the beat of my own drummer, and not be swayed by what others like! But than I'm also not the type to insult something that somebody else likes and I don't!!! Like I posted before to each their own and everyone should have their own opinion and likes and dislikes and nobody else should tell a person what they should like and not like!!!

When are critics going to get it? There opinions almost never reflect the opinions of others. People by their very nature will do something they are told not to do. So when the critics tell us not to go see a movie we will go see the movie anyway to find out why we were told not to see it.

Yep, same here. I often have the opposite opinion of critics. What they like, I don't, and vice versa.
