I'm Linda Ellerbee...Retiring from Nick News - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

After 43 years as a TV journalist, Linda Ellerbee, at age 71, is retiring from Broadcasting, having spent 25 of those years hosting "Nick News."

An hour-long series finale special of "Nick News" will be telecast on December 15 at 8 P.M. ET/PT on Nickelodeon.

The reason I put this news in the "Murphy Brown" board is because in 1989, Linda guest-starred on the episode "The Summer of '77" as herself, playing the woman Murphy Brown (Candy Bergen) auditioned against for "FYI."

Very big fan of both. Ellerbee in '83 (not FYI, but so it goes)...
