place that was rent free for a year but i guess since they were being thrown out it was a lot better than being homeless. When I first saw this episode I was like......."how are they going to pay rent after a year?

But it turned out to be a fraud anyway lol

BTW: why did the guy who jack saved have to be eating dinner like a dog?

I think you're referring to the Season 4 episode "The Lifesaver," where Jack thinks he saves a man from choking in a restaurant. I thought it was weird, too, but they had a similar story line a couple seasons later in "Paradise Lost," where they could have had an apartment for a year while the doctor who owned it was abroad. Maybe they were just young and didn't think too far ahead?

Yeah the episode was on last night and since I only get to watch Three's Company on Saturdays I decided to watch it last night and was glad to see that it was season 4, my favorite season.

I guess it would have hit them eventually where they were going to live once they moved in and realize they are only covered for a year.

And Furley wasn't any better, he called his brother and told him off after the old guy made him the new manager of Paradise Towers lol Atleast start the new job first before you make a call like that

Yeah, I guess Furley wasn't too mature...he was just as impulsive as the young people!

season 4 was the season he was always trying to throw them out and then starting with season 5 you no longer saw that Furley.

I try not to think about "The Lifesaver" and "Old Folks at Home" too much. They aren't the best Three's Company episodes. Maybe it's because they're episodes about people giving the trio a hard time. That's why "Jack's Navy Pal" is a downer too. Who wants to see the trio get screwed over? That's not amusing.

Well we're supposed to believe Jack grew to like Leo, but I don't know why. Sitcoms throughout history have often tried to portray pests as loveable. People can ruin other people's lives, but if that person meant well, somehow all is forgiven.

I just watched that one again, and I think I understand Jack's reaction more now. He was worried about Leo. Even though Leo was a pain, he had nowhere else to go. If Leo was younger I wouldn't have felt so sorry for him, but it's not like Leo was going to get a job at his age, so the woman telling him to get lost was cruel in that sense. She was making an old guy homeless. Cruel when you look at it that way.

Jack had intermittent part-time jobs and his schooling was paid on the GI Bill. But yeah, it's unrealistic he would've saved any money.
