Default Damm Comcast announced they are going up in January and it's nothing I can do ab

Comcast sent a letter stating due to increased business costs, they will have to raise the price for all services starting in January of 2016 which will make the bill higher than it already is now.

Internet, sports package, and cable package is rising and I know I can't cancel because once I get home how will I be entertained?

SMH, only possible solutions below

1. Eat Out Less

2. Date someone I'm not attracted to

3. Get a second job

4. Find another internet provider that is not wireless

Pisses me off there is no other option for me that is cheaper because Comcast controls this area so they have me by the balls.

I hear you. They gave me grief when I was trying to get internet service for the tablet. They said that because my bill is high(I can only pay half of it every 2 weeks) I couldn't get internet service with Comcast. Plus, they told me to pay 133 bucks or they would shut me off. I had planned to give them half of it because the other half I was going to use to buy food for Thanksgiving. So, the literally ruined my holiday. Then I get a bill saying I owe 133 bucks by Dec. 1. Long story short. They made it sound like if I didn't pay right then and there, they would shut me off I think I could have paid this weekend instead of last weekend when I had more money. Totally pissed me off

Thumbs down

I can't believe Comcast is raising their rates again. They are a very greedy company.

Question

I'd like to know what their top executives are getting for their year-end bonuses.

Oh No

I hate cable companies in general! They tell you to cough-up the money now, or else this will happen...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9twTtXkQNA

If you say "I now have to eat ramen noodles for a month", they'll say "**** you, pay me"! If you say "I got a pay cut from my job", they'll say "**** you, pay me"! If you say "I have other bills to pay", they'll say "**** you, pay me"!

I wish cable companies go to hell...

If it really bothers you, give it up. If I had to I could go with tv. Wouldn't want to, but I could. Other than entertainment what does a tv set do? You can get news from a portable radio, read a newspaper from the library, socialize with friends, or try to find some friends. It really isn't the end of the world. Then again could you try those off the air antennas? We had the antenna situation decades ago and it didn't work out that great. I live at the bottom of a hill. But now they may work much better. Could give that a try if you really want to continue with tv. Try not to get bent of out shape over the situation.

Have you seen the infomercial for Clear TV, if they can get dozens of channels in the Gulf Of Mexico, imagine all the free channels you can get at home!

Yeah, I do miss some of the stuff I used to watch on ESPN years ago -- especially college football and basketball. Otherwise I'm good with the TV I've got, over the air. And even my "lesser" channels do have some sports, including college "game of the week," NBA (Bulls), and some MLB (Cubs/Chisox).

I use PeoplePC for internet -- it's really cheap, especially when I prepay. Decent service, except email storage is limited. And I was able to keep my old AOL Email account, which costs me nothing, and has thousands of emails stored -- both read & unread...!

I hate Comcast because they blow so much money on advertising. It's driving me insane -- radio, TV, mailings, I can't go 10 minutes without hearing Xfinity, blah blah, Xfinity. I have probably 50 plastic cards they sent me to try to hook me up. "Not for all the tea in China" would I get Comcast.
