Oh No For some reason...I don't want to decorate this Christmas.

For awhile, I used to decorate my room or my house around this time. But with 2015 not being much of a good year despite graduating at Ohio Center for Broadcasting and my internship at The Triv Show, being by myself in the house, and working...I just don't have much ambition to get-out the Christmas stuff and Deck the Halls. I feel that it's pointless since it's only me in the house and no one else is there to see it.

But many people insist I decorate. I'm just not in the mood this year...if anything I may just buy a small ceramic Christmas Tree and that Charlie Brown Tree and call it a day!

Is it wrong for me to be this way this year?

No way. Lots of people look at the holidays as just days on a calendar. For whatever reason, some people can't get into the holidays. Your not alone.

That's how I was with Thanksgiving this year! I wasn't really into it! It's totally understandable if you don't feel like decorating and making a big fuss over Christmas. You still have the spirit in your heart what Christmas is all about. Or should be all about. The birth of Jesus!

I brought a few of my little Santa figurines out yesterday, and lit a scented evergreen candle. But haven't started to really decorate yet. If you change your mind and get in the spirit to decorate, you have plenty of time still!

So true Bonnie! I too am guilty sometimes of forgetting what Christmas is all about. When I was growing up my parents took us to church on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. We never missed ! My husband and I did the same with our kids. But we have fallen out of the habit which is too bad because Christmas services are so beautiful and uplifting!

Oh No

I did buy myself the Charlie Brown Christmas Tree. It's smaller than I thought it would be, but I think it's fine.

Today was a shipwreck...I was invited to my cousin/friend's wedding. The guy who said he'd take me home became an ******* and I wish gfor the worst...mother****in' mutt, but my brother has a garter belt and Yoko has the bouquet...it's over...they'll be married!

I only have one song to play...

Cool

I go through the same thing every year. But I almost always end up decorating. I think there was only one year that I didn't do any decorating.

Yeah!!! Sometimes I don't start out in the Christmas spirit, but as it gets closer I end up getting into it always! The decorations are so much fun, and the smell of the Christmas tree is so nice!! I love the house all cozy and festive! And the smell of the ham dinner cooking on Christmas day ! I can't wait!!! Also I might attempt to bake this year!

And OMG!!! This thread is so colorful and festive!!!! NEAT!!!!

I've been that way for the past several year to be honest. I don't know why though. I think it was last year that I was really depressed over the holidays and just wanted them over with but I don't know what I was so depressed about. But yeah, we haven't put up anything. The only thing I've done is buy and wrap presents which I suppose is the most important thing but the rest has been just not that important to me.
