Angry Suddenly don't have a good feeling about TNN

Here we go again. First, I'm reading on this message board how TNN might be skipping over certain so-called "controversial" episodes of the show, just like N@N did. This is just so infuriating and unbelievable ... what year are we living in anyway, 1955?! Also, I'm now seeing on the Three's Company board that TNN is looping back the pilot episode once the last "Chrissy" episode is shown! WTF is that?! Will they pull a similar stunt with Strokes?! Why can't some network just get it RIGHT for one?!! Why is it so hard to play EVERY episode, in order?! Uughhhh!!

Because if they did air them in order, then they wouldn't need to hire a program director. Actually, I think the problem with networks is that they're all related to each other.

I think its just a joke. One big joke that isn't funny anymore. When Nick @ Nite had Ds, I would laugh at the censorship because they skirted past the "controvercial" episodes. I think it is something deeper now. It's hilarious a channel can show DS at noon, a time when all the kiddies are in school and still avoid the controversial episodes. Wasn't this the main problem of N@N's? Oh, the kiddies are still up at this hour, we just can't show an episode that involves drugs, sex, or disorders.

I'm going back to N@N for a second. I've heard they are planning on picking up Roseanne. Can you just imagine the edits and cut outs they will try with Roseanne? It will keep them on their toes. Well, I must say the censors have improved from the 50's and 60's. On one episode of Leave it to Beaver they didn't want to show an episode because the episode featured a scene in the bathroom that showed the toilet. God, my eyes are burning from the sight of a toilet.

We might as well give it up guys. We are ordinary people, and ordinary people don't get respect from tv channels. They don't give a crap about the things we want to see, or don't want to see. You give it time enough, and TNN will be an all reality tv show channel. Gives me heartburn just thinking about that.

And I don't understand the skipping around either. Okay, lets say DS had 200 episodes. Let's make 45 of them controversial which basically eliminates those from show. The Sam and Maggie episodes are hardly seen so lets toss in another 50 episodes to the not shown pile. That limits the episodes down. Wouldn't you get sick of seeing the same episodes over and over again? I don't understand why tv channels don't think of that.

"Look its Diff'rent Strokes on TNN!"
"Aw man, they've shown that one almost every month. I can recite the script now. Hand me the remote."

Okay, so maybe I'm exaggerating just a bit. Maybe I'm not exaggerating. I can see why we have censors on some things in todays time or else every tv show would cross the borderline and have T & A shown in everything. You are crossing the line when you take classic shows that aren't harmless to begin with that are basically made to show a lesson and refuse to show them. What do I know though? I certainly don't run a tv station.

like i said on my post, its ok for people to talk about their detailed sexual affairs on NBC and CBS or ABC but they cant air something from an 80s rerun sitcom that was probably controversal at the time but they cant air the show in the year we are living in now? it makes me sick what garbage they get away with on netword television. im suprised they showed the episode where willis wants to make love to charlene the other day. BEWARE! THIS SHOW IS HIGHLY OFFENSIVE AND MIGHT OFFEND YOU!!! WATCH AT YOUR OWN RISK!

TNN did something right! TNN will show the post-Chrissy episodes after all! Maybe the e-mails to them worked?
I'll have the upcoming episodes updated by Friday at the latest on my website.
