She was a Democrat and JFK supporter but that doesn't make her a commie. As far as I know the only actress pro North Vietnam was Jane Fonda. Even today I know many Vietnam vets and they all hate "Hanoi Jane".

Which is funny because Henry Fonda, her Father, actually said that he was perfectly fine with her actions in North Vietnam. Watch for the part where he says "Shut up, she's perfect", and all his friends in the audience applaud at that satement.

Well he was a liberal too so I suppose not too surprising. Ironically one of his best friends was James Stewart who was ultra conservative but apparently they never discussed politics but built trains together. I shouldn't say liberal or conservative because there were liberal Democrats for the war (Or at least for the military if against the war)

Pro Vietnam? Insane comments like that are worst than the image she gave. Clearly she wasn't against American troops. Those against American troops are those that are against spending money on needy veterans. Those people use the Hanoi Jane slogan to cover up the fact they don't care about veterans.
