Default This Has To Be The All Time Stupidist Ep!

People I LOVE the Cosby Show, I think it's a great show. But I was watching this ep that comes on my local station, and, I don't kno the ep name, but there's this episode, with like, Cliff talking to puppets in his refigerator! What were these people THINKING when they made this episode...sorry, just a waisted half hour of my life.

Default bad Cosby episodes

There are only three Cosbys that come to mind as being really bad.

1. The show where Cliff eats a sausage sandwich and has a nightmare including Muppets and things.

2. Rudy's fairy tale episode, with Theo, Clair, Sondra, Elvin, Russell, and Rudy living in a good villagel; and Kenny as the evil king with Cliff as his sidekick, Vanessa as a wizard, and some white kid thrown in for good measure.

3. Probably the dumbest one of all: the show where all the men are pregnant and give birth to, if memory serves, a toy sailboat, a model Corvette, and a submarine sandwich with a drink.

Yeah, I agree. The first two are dumb, but I liked the one where the men are pregnant. I thought that was kind of funny.

I love that one! And yes, Theo gave birth to a corvette, Cliff gave birth to a sandwich, Denise's husband (forgot his name) gave birth to a sailboat, but I forgot what Elvin gave birth to. Anyone remember???

As soon as I read the subject of your post I knew which episode you were going to mention. That is the one episode that I always fast forward past when i'm going through my tapes. It's not terrible or anything, it just doesn't make much sense. I did however enjoy the episode where Cliff gave birth to a sandwich. I thought that was pretty funny.

Dream sequence episodes are a definitive "Jump the Shark" moment for TV viewers in Lots of Places. Now let me see if I can think of a Dream Episode that works. A-HA! (No not the Norwegian rock group that sang the hit "Take on Me") but A-HA! I think I've got a few:

1: Jeffersons dream eps worked decently for the most part; namely the ones where George battles inflation and one where he appears on "The Wheel of Forever" to determine if he's going to Heaven or Hades. A right funny ep that.

2: Then there's an ep of M*A*S*H where several cast members like Hawkeye, Margaret, etc had er "Dream Flashbacks" or whatever the technical term is; be that as it may, however, reaction is mixed on this one. Some think this was one of the best M*A*S*H eps ever made, while the Earlier Seasons' Henry Blake/Radar/Trapper/Ferret Face comedy club viewers (like myself) think it sucks. Here I'll show you:

Amen.

3: An ep of Rosanne where the Connor family goes back into Pilgrim Times & acts like Quakers during Thanksgiving.

But generally, though, the Dream Eps, Vacation Eps, and the like are regarded as "Potential" Shark Jump Moments depending on taste and what not. It may be because the writers have run out of ideas and such.

The 3rd Cosby ep stands out because of its CheeseWiz Campiness. And yes it was funny...almost as funny as Peter joining the Sunflower Girls.

Amen and

Amen.

No, they didn't. Hmm, I wonder what Alvin would have given birth to....? Anyway, I would like to add to this list, the ep where Rudy dreams that Olivia gets away with everything (although it did have a few good moments). I loved the show where the men were pregnant, but the other, dream/fantasy ones, were a big
