Garry Marshall To Guest on "The Odd Couple"
"The Odd Couple" Casts Perfect Guy to Play Oscar's Dad
by Lynette Rice 11/19/15 Daddy’s home! EW has learned exclusively that "The Odd Couple" has found the perfect ol’ boy to play Oscar’s dad in the second season of the CBS comedy – the sitcom’s original creator, Garry Marshall. Marshall, who currently serves as a consultant on the rebooted comedy that stars Matthew Perry and Thomas Lennon, will be introduced as Oscar’s dad in the new season. This will be his first guest-starring role on the comedy. Marshall, who will film his cameo next week, originally developed the Neil Simon play for the small screen back in the ’70s.
