Speculation?

I'd say the reason is probably because of the theme song. Aretha Franklin sang it from seasons 2-5.

Aretha Franklin also did the theme song for the first few seasons of "Grace Under Fire" and once that series came to DVD, the theme song was replaced with the later version used in the series.

I'm sure people will say the recent controversies surrounding Bill Cosby. But I doubt it. Why else would they continue to have his shows on Hulu?

I remember that season two was close to being released by Urban Works Entertainment in 2006 back Cosby Show was still being released on DVD, but it was delayed and then cancelled indefinitely when Urban Works was taken over by First Look Studios. It's a shame because this is one of my favorite sitcoms. I always thought it was better than TCS. Hopefully, Mill Creek (who has the rights to TCS and many other CW sitcoms) can get the rights to it and release it or VEI (who just picked up Grace Under Fire, another CW show) can release it eventually.
