Neighbors
I always thought it was strange that the Taylors didn't have next-door neighbors who figured into the show. Neighbors are such a staple of sitcoms, and a basic ingredient of small-town America. So it's odd that pretty much the only interaction the Taylors had with theirs was when Andy thought the neighbor's cat killed one of their songbirds.
Just an observation from a concerned citizen.
