Is CBS going to show another colorized episode this Christmas?. - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Usually, by this time the last two years we got told that CBS is going to pair the newly colorized ILL Christmas Special with another newly colorized one. I hope that CBS didn't decide to not do one this year. That would be a shame.

Yes, CBS will be airing another colorized episode this Christmas.

I know lots of people go Gaga over colorized versions; but for me any of the 50s eps are even more special to me in their original b&w. But I am glad that both options are available so that those who want the color can have it.

I like the B&W more, too BUT I love that the colorization is bringing the show to a whole new generation. Truly, everyone STILL loves Lucy and the youngsters are now being introduced to her. Let's face it, kids nowadays won't watch ANYTHING that isn't in color.

I don't know if I'm at liberty to say at this point. I will give this hint: It's an episode that one would expect to see colorized.

I agree. I used to be not too much in favor of colorizing, but when I saw the colorized "L.A. at Last" a few months ago -- in particular the bit where Fred enters wearing that crazy shirt -- seeing that shirt in color made it much funnier. I don't think I ever laughed out loud at that bit until I saw it in color a few months ago.

Thats ok. I actually like the black and white episodes better just because I'm used to them, I guess. The I Love Lucy on CBS for Christmas seems like a new Christmas tradition? No?

"Lucy Raises Tulips" is one of my favorite episodes!

If I had to guess, it'll probably be included on the season 3 Blu-ray set when it's released.

I'm still keeping my fingers crossed for "The Freezer" to get the color treatment! That's my all-time favorite Lucy episode!
