What a joke it was when Lucy asked Ricky how tall he was, and he said 5'11" 1/2. In his ridiculous high heels, he was lucky to be 5'7" 1/2.

Probably the funniest thing said in the entire series. Gimme a break, Ricky. Stop it. Who are you kidding but yourself?

According to imdb.com, Desi Arnaz was 5' 9 1/2", so you're just as far off as what you're referring to, but in the other direction. His daughter, Lucie Arnaz, is 5' 9" or 5' 10", and I can vouch for that. I've met her and she's a very tall woman. In what episode did he say he was 5' 11 1/2"?

By the title of this thread, I thought it was about someone with whom you are scarcely, if at all, familiar, calling you to ask if your spouse fits in the bathtub of your apartment. Can you imagine being on either end of that call?

Desi was probably about 5 foot 9 or so . Lucy was not much shorter than him. This is a classic and one of the greatest sitcoms of all time.

I've noticed Desi Arnaz on ILL wearing shoes with some pretty "high heels" on them, especially when Lucy is wearing heels, so that he remains on either an equal or greater height than her. I have seem pictures of them standing together "in real life" when Lucy is wearing heels and she is a good 3" or 4" taller than Desi.
