Default The SAW movies

I recently got thru the whole set of movies, mostly the IFC network [unedited, but with commercials and constant onscreen promos], versions. What do you think of these movies?

I love the original. It is a very good piece as a stand-alone movie.

The sequels were pretty redundant and you knew what to expect w/ them. They just upped the gore factor w/ each one.

I'll say that SAW 3D was a decent finale to the series w/ how they tied up loose ends; mainly the fate of Dr. Gordon from the original film.

I saw the first one, didn't bother with the sequels.

Yeah, getting Cary Elwes, not A-list, but a respected actor, to return definitely elevated the 7th of what had become a fading horror franchise.

I love them iñ fact I loved that it became an annual event around Halloween that a new SAW movie came out, the bestbpartvwas watching them with a movie audience just watching them gasp at the gore was hysterical.

Maybe it's just me, but I prefer movies that make you laugh and feel good about love, life and living. I take no pleasure or excitement in the anticipation of a character's on screen gruesome death. But that's just ME.

Anyone with a degree in mechanical engineering can probably get some crazy ideas.

One thing a Jigsaw did was single handedly keep the tape recorder industry in business.

Uh no. If I made a list of the most violent films I've seen, SAW would be somewhere on the bottom. I just didn't like the film.
