Can anyone explain to me how to record from one vcr to another? I have lots of tapes but don't know how to transfer them to other tapes.

you can buy an inexpensive pair of dubbing cables at most department stores. They are color coded to make hookup easy.
The vcr that is hooked up to the tv already is the one you PLAY on. The second vcr does the recording. Some vcrs have specific intructions, such as being put "online" or "auxillary" instead of channel 3 or 4. If you still have the book for your vcr, it will tell you, otherwise you'll need to experiment some till you get it right.

All video recorders have "scart sockets" with them and they have a hole in the back for one to be plugged into.
If you got 2 video recorders you just need to plug one socket from the back of one into the other video recorder. |

like someone else said, you need to buy an audio/video cable..you can get a good one for a good price at radio shack..i've had mine for years..on the back of your vcr it should have four holes that coincide with each other as being labeled "in" or "out"..you hook your two vcr's together with your new a/v cable..the vcr you want to record on (with a blank tape) will be your "in" slot and the vcr you want to play the video that you're recording off of will be your "out" slot. if you go to your first channel (it should be your first) you can view what's going on through that channel.
