Default A very talented cast

If you go over their body of work, from before, during and after the run of the show, up to the present day, the cast had a lot of success. In all aspects of the business, from screen, stage, to directing. Even the ones who just popped in for a year (go check out Ron Rifkins resume some time). This has to be one of the stronger overall casts assembled from '70's TV.

Glen Scarpeli puts the entire cast and guest stars all to shame.

He, mostly, left the business, so that's a separate topic for somebody else to delve into. But some of you are pretty vicious to the 14 year olds. Who's next, Cousin Oliver? That Ricky kid from the Partridge Family

I didn't know that Ricky kid was 14 when he was on The Partridge Family? Was he a dwarf?

First, I actually don't mind Glen, he just became a fun running joke on here.

Second, I like Cousin Oliver

Third, some kids/teens I just find annoying. Ricky from The Partridge Family, Andy from Family Ties, that Seven kid from Married With Children, Haley Joel Osment, all the kids on Full House.

Maybe. Tough to tell. But if not, definitely is in the third category. Anyone under 20 is a kid to me, thus me grouping them all together.

Boyd Gaines went onto to win 4 Tony's. Including one for Gypsy.

Last night he was relegated to be the only one who didn't get a chance to stand out in the retirement episode. Ironic?

Incidentally, Michael Lembeck has an excellent singing voice. Better than the whole cast combined.

Except for Bonnie who had a wonderful singing voice as shown in her Tony nominated turn in Applause. She could also dance very well.

I don't know why they made it out that she couldn't really carry a tune on the retirement show episodes. I guess she didn't want to be a Linda Lavinesque show off. Linda's singing voice was annoying even though she was very funny on Alice. But even though Alice Hyatt was supposed to be a singer, Linda's singing was an acquired taste.

How could I forget Nanette Fabray?

So talented and so versatile in The Bandwagon and Your Show of Shows among other things.

Mary Louise Wilson (Ginny) also has a Tony award. And a Drama Desk Award, which, while I'm not sure what that is , I'm sure it's good.

YES!!!! Michael has a very nice voice!!!! He was "Kaptain Kool" after all!!! I also noticed he seems to shine more on live stage than as a TV actor!! I could see him as a professional singer or in Broadway plays!! !!!! I love Max, don't get me wrong , but I don't think the roll of Max showed Michael Lembeck's total acting ability!!!

And that is a shame they didn't give Mark/Boyd Gaines more to do in that retirement home show!!!! Being he really did have talent on the stage!!!

I agree Bonnie did have a nice voice, also Nanette (Grandma Romano) And how can we forget Shelley ( Francine) she had that big hit record " Johnny Angel" back in the day!!!!

I'm hoping that was meant in fun? I was being genuine. Not a troll. Not a Glenn Scarpelli fan...just a fan of his portrayal of the character.

OK!!! If that's how it really is!!!! I have been posting here for a while a long with a few other people, and I don't mean to take charge but in a way I guess I have! If you are not sincere in watching this and/or a fan of this program I kindly ask you to leave because we all are very into this!!!! Even a couple posters who don't like the show and post, but they let it be known they don't like it ,please don't post and pretend you like this show if you really don't!!

Again I say ,we have NO time for trolls here!!!

I'm not clear at all why you are calling me out and saying I am a troll? I do like the show. I've been DVRing it from Antenna Tv. Just because i happen to like a character that you don't makes me a troll??

Woah, what happened here overnight??

First, Hi to what looks like a new poster. Please keep posting at the site, especially here, as its my goal to keep this show an active board.

Second, Bonnie is usually one of the nicer, friendly posters who gets along with EVERYONE. I don't know what happened there. Maybe CHIPS (her favorite) was preempted last night? Hopefully nothing more serious.
