20 Year Friendship - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

At 5 o'clock this evening, I watched a syndicated episode of "Archie Bunker's Place". This episode had to do with the fact that the characters of Archie, Barney and Harry had all been friends for twenty years on the day that the episode took place. This episode was made in 1983. If this episode was part of real life, then they would have become friends the same year that the lovely little Helen Hunt was born! Now that I have gotten that reality out of the way, I would like to tell you guys a little bit about what happened in the duration of the episode. They decided to celebrate their friendship by going to a basketball game and then hitting the town for some drinks. Their evening included everything from being approached by hookers to walking into a gay bar! I wish that my life included that degree of excitement! But because it does not, I find myself filling up time posting messages on boards like this! Things could be worse!

I do not think so. This thread is not really about the TV show "Archie Bunker's Place". It is about the fact that if Archie Bunker were a real person, he Barney and Harry would have become friends the same year that Helen Hunt was born. Just like President Kennedy was assassinated the same year that Helen Hunt was born. Helen Hunt was one of the stars of "Mad About You".
