Also Petticoat Junction and Green Acres, but they weren't on the list!

I chose "Car 54, Where Are You?" from the list because it cracks me up.

From the shows to choose from in this list, I chose Hazel.

Leave It To Beaver aired until 1963, but it debuted in 1957, so technically it's really a 50's sitcom. Dobie Gillis and Dennis The Menace debuted in 1959, so they can be defined as 60's sitcoms.

There should be more shows in this list. Where is Bewitched? I Dream Of Jeannie? Addams Family? Green Acres? Get Smart? Hogan's Heroes? McHale's Navy? Flintstones? Just to name a few. Flintstones is animated but it's still a 60's sitcom.

Cool

The Dick Van Dyke Show. Great writing! Great direction! Great cast!

I think it's one of the most progressive and original shows of its time. They had people from different backgrounds together without that being the focal point of the show or a very special episode. And bonus -- it centered on middle aged adults without cute kids and pets. Pure comedy. Love it.

That was the good thing about it. Too many sitcoms from that era always had a kid in the show. It was refreshing. It was something different from the rest. That's why I loved it!

It was a tough choice between Andy Griffith and Beaver, but I finally went with the Beav. However, my favorite wasn't among the choices offered: Bewitched (only the Dick York years, of course)

Voted for "TBH" but "Green Acres" is my absolute favorite from the 60s.
