Default FOX Sports Harold Reynolds - Dumbest man on Earth

During last night's Toronto/Texas game, which the Blue Jays won 5-1 on a dramatic clutch home run by Troy Tulowitzki, (In your face, America!) , a major controversy erupted in the middle of the game which naturally went ignored by the FOX Sports alleged broadcast crew which enraged an entire country and became instantly slammed on Twitter and among the Canadian media and baseball fans.

When a foul ball was hit into the stands and a fan was having trouble catching it, FOX Sports announcer Harold Reynolds, a former major leaguer of questionable ability and intellect, let loose with this giant bag of feces from his big ugly mouth:

"We were talking about foul balls in the stands up in Toronto, because there’s not a lot of people that grew up playing baseball in Canada, they’re not used to catching a lot of balls hit into the stands.”

The reaction up north was instant and hostile. The best quote came from All-Star and Hall-Of-Famer Larry Walker which sums it all up very nicely:

I won 7 gold gloves. I think part of winning them was cause I could catch. 😊

In case you missed it, because the whole sequence went by very quickly, this is the official video evidence where you can hear it all for yourself:

In short, I wish to conclude by saying that Harold Reynolds is a stupid jerk who should know better but probably doesn't.

I AM CANADIAN --- and I know how to catch!

Blue Jays in 5!

pretty insensitive - that would be comparable to someone stating on a national-televised in America broadcast that Americans can't play hockey.

..but not as bad say as hanging the other country's flag upside down (I believe it was Atlanta hosting the Bluejays '92 World Series), or the singer forgetting the words to the other country's national anthem (Las Vegas Posse hosting the Saskatchewan Roughriders in their home opener) and singing "Oh Christmas Tree" instead on a nationally-televised broadcast.

that guy is probably too dumb to post a simple apology and then this would all be over with, but the network should issue one.

The one I'll never forget came from Bob Costas when the Blue Jays were playing Oakland in the 1992 ALCS. In one of the games at Toronto, he first insulted the Toronto crowd by saying, "I've been to libraries that are noisier than this." Then, when Oakland got a big lead in the game, he issued this bomb: "Elvis has a better chance of coming back than the Blue Jays." Well, we know what happened afterwards. (Thank you Robbie Alomar!) I wonder to this day why Costas is still considered one of the best names in sports---I doubt if he ever apologized---or why Reynolds will even be allowed to work in Game 5 in Toronto. If he does show up, he's in for a big surprise!
