Why is the television in the bedroom? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Whenever it features them watching TV or anytime it has to do with a television (like when Arnold visits and goes in the bedroom to watch TV)

it is always in the bedroom! I don't recall them ever watching TV in the living room? I think they only have one set and it's in the bedroom! That's strange? Esp. back in those days. A lot of people only had one set and it was always in the living room. Nowadays most people do have a couple or a few TV's and one is in the bedroom, but back in those days not so much ! I wonder why they had it like that? Was it purposely just going along with all the other general goofiness of the show?

Wow!! Good one! I didn't think of that! They lived in a very upscale, high class apartment. That makes sense that it would be in a built in entertainment center!

It might be simpler than that. They might have had trouble fitting a TV set and enough room for everyone to watch it into the living room set.
