I always thought they first met when they did reshoots for the Full House Pilot, but then I saw this commercial from 1984.

I think a sitcom with Saget and Coulier as two inseparable wacky buddies would have been neat.

They knew each other since 1979 when Coulier was on a Comedy Store tour in Los Angeles. It was actually Coulier's childhood pal Mike Binder that introduced the two to each other.
