GRETNA, LA. -- The New Orleans music community is mourning the death of "The New Orleans Dynamo," Frankie Ford. The Gretna native passed away late Monday night after a lengthy illness. Ford became world famous for his 1950s hit "Sea Cruise." He had several million selling hits, but "Sea Cruise" was his biggest. Ford was 76-years-old. Funeral arrangements have not yet been set. |
