Default TRIPLE PLAY episode

If I had to recommend one episode of this series to skip, it would be season 8's Sonny Boy. If I got to pick two, it would be tonights Triple Play.

Why oh why did I rewatch last night? It's creepy, skeevy, and I hate hate hate (did I mention hate?) the way Barbara is written here.

I didn't think the episode was creepy. But I did find it strange when the guy started putting the moves on Ann's mother. That was weird.

I didn't either. That guy was a playa! I thought he was cast well .He was a nice looking charming man , and I could see him appealing to woman of different ages! And Ann's Mom, she is attractive for an old lady. And she was only in her 60's or so. Not like she was an old frail, shriveled up lady in her 80's!And he was a flirt He really didn't have designs on her beyond dancing ! He liked to flirt ! Only thing, Grandpa Romano was still alive ! So she was an older married woman flirting back with this man!

Ann's mom wasn't bad looking for an older lady of about 60. But I couldn't help and think, "What is he doing messing with her when he's got Ann and Barbara there?" The guy was a player alright, he overplayed being a player.

I missed the two episodes last night. It was late and I dozed off to sleep. Dammit! I should have DVR'd them instead of trying to stay awake. Oh well.

I'm being outvoted here, but since Barbara's acceptance/excitement of being hit on by the sleazy old guy is so out of character, I stand by my opinion. I don't want to be overly dramatic, but I'm dragging my utter contempt for this episode down to the very depths of hell. Not that I'm bitter or anything.

Yeah! The Eagles won!! I was born and raised in Philly so I won't say anymore!

To RetroTVfan!! The eps. yesterday were Ann's Mom and Dad moved to Indy and Ann's Mom got a job as receptionist at Ann's office and drove Ann nuts!

Other ep. A classmate of Barbara's , Elliot liked Barbara and she wasn't into him. So he basically became what we would call these days obsessive or stalker-ish, including sending her crazy gifts and even handcuffing himself to a post in the Romano apt!!!! He was in another ep in college, when Ann and Barbara were in the same class. The curly haired guy with glasses that flirted with Ann too!

They were both OK eps. I liked the one with Grandma Romano better! And no Max or Julie in either ep!!!

OK, thanks for filling me in. Sounds like good episodes, too bad I missed them. I'll try to do better tonight and see if I can stay awake. ODAAT airs here at midnight on weekends, 11PM during the week.
