Boy, when I first saw this post, I initially thought the OP was asking why they called him "Mr. Cosby" instead of "Dr. Cosby."

if this scandal heats up much more the wont be calling him anything but a number at his new home and it sure wont look like a farm in shellburne mass. or a new York brownstone

Why does everyone refer to Bill Cosby as "Mr. Cosby" instead of "Dr. Cosby"? The reason for that is unknown, even though William Henry Cosby, Jr. does have a Doctorate in Education, which he earned in 1976.

That wasn't my initial question and I don't think anybody cares about him being a doctor.

I thought people who had an accredited doctoral graduate degree didn't like to be referred to as "Mr." or "Ms."; they could only be referred to as "Dr.". I think the same applies for physicians and surgeons, who are frequently referred to as "Dr.".

its because thats how he signs your paycheck, and if you don't comply you might end up waking up in a strange place feeling very groggy with sore sticky nipples and toes.
