NBC Cancels "Mr. Robinson"
"The Carmichael Show" Renewed at NBC, "Mr. Robinson" Cancelled
by Nellie Andreeva September 14, 2015 NBC has renewed "The Carmichael Show" for a second season, while opting against a second season of "Mr. Robinson". This is the second consecutive summer the network has launched new comedy series, both times leading to a renewal, following last year’s pickup "Undateable". Both "Mr. Robinson" and "Carmichael" have been decent ratings performers, but "Carmichael" has been better received by critics, drawing parallels to "All in the Family" with its social commentary and take on such hot-button issues as race and religion. According to NBC, The 9 PM edition of "The Carmichael Show" (1.1 rating in 18-49, 4.7 million viewers in Live+Same Day) was the most-watched summer comedy on the Big 4 networks in eight years and tied for the No. 1 summer comedy over that span in adults 18-49. Good this show was awful and cringe-worthy. I love Craig Robinson, but this show was crap!

I never got a chance to watch "Mr. Robinson" and the only reason I wanted to is because Perry Gilpin from Frasier was on it. Oh well...
