New "X-Files" Event Series to Screen Premiere at Mipcom, NY Comic-Con
"The X-Files" Event Gets Episode 1 Screenings at Mipcom, New York Comic-Con
by Ross A. Lincoln September 10, 2015 "The X-Files" mini-series event is, much like the truth, out there, and now we know when. In early October, Fox is giving the return of Mulder and Scully two premieres, one for buyers and another for fans. First up, the first episode will screen for international buyers at Mipcom on October 6, at the Grand Auditorium of the Palais de Festivals in Cannes. Four days later on October 10, it will screen for attendees of New York Comic-Con at At New York’s Javits Center. Immediately following the NYCC screening is a Q&A with series creator Chris Carter, who wrote and directed the episode, along with series star David Duchovny. The rest of us will have to wait until the series’ two-night premiere event, beginning January 24 immediately following the NFC Championship Game (10:00-11:00 PM ET/7:00-8:00 PM PT), and continuing the next night in its regular 8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT timeslot. The 6-episode mini-series will combine stand-alone episodes with myth-arc episodes. The first episode, titled 'My Struggle', sees Agents Mulder and Scully investigating a possible alien abductee. Three of the episodes are written and directed by Chris Carter, with the remaining new episodes written and directed by original series veterans Glen Morgan, Darin Morgan and James Wong. 20th Century Fox Television is producing in association with Ten Thirteen Productions. Carter is executive producing, along with co-executive producer Glen Morgan. http://deadline.com/2015/09/x-files-...om-1201521091/ |
