Default Plop, Pickle, Plunk

Poor Barbara!!! I went through that! I worked at Mc Donald's for 3 days and I just couldn't take it! And Like Barbara and Bob , I had a friend who already worked there give me a good recommendation. And than I ended up S*cking at the job , I just couldn't get the hang of it at all, nor did I want to!

Plop, pickle. plunk sure wasn't for me! I said adios to McDonald's and never worked at a fast food place again!

I missed the second part of this episode last night. Dozed off to sleep in the chair while the commercials were on. I hate when that happens. Woke up to the sound of the Three's Company theme song.

Barbara asked for Thursday off because she was invited to a party. thinking it would be slow, Bob said OK! Little did he know, Schneider was going to walk in and announce that his Lodge decided they wanted munchies and he came in the restaurant with an order of 100 or so burgers, fries, root beers and milk shakes! Bob was alone working and so Schneider, Ann and Julie helped him with the order, and all of them weren't very experienced in fast food preparation! Ann Plopped, pickled and plunked, and than Julie goes "Mother you plopped on my shoe" Than Barbara comes in and says she was mixed up, the party wasn't this Thursday after all but NEXT Thursday!

OK thanks for filling me in, too bad I missed the second part, sounds like it was a funny episode. Oh well, maybe they'll show it again. I should DVR these One Day At A Time episodes in case I dose off to sleep again.

Yeah it was a pretty good ep! I like Bob ( John Putch, Jean Stapelton's son) ! He was a very good comedic actor! And a very good looking guy too I might add! It's a shame he was never really THAT famous, but if you read his biography or IMdB he was in a lot of different things ! I'm not saying in a bad way I love Jean Stapleton but I guess if you were her child, the way everyone loved Edith Bunker she would be a tough act to follow!!!

I always enjoyed the One day at a time eps that John/Bob was in!

I'm glad Opus!!!! John Putch was a good guy!!! And I wonder if we were to go out on the streets and ask random people if they are John Putch fans, the majority of people would have no idea who we were even talking about!

I should start a John Putch (Bob from ODAAT ) fan club! He is cool. Like an every day guy that would be your neighbor, Co worker, guy at the grocery store type guy!

From back than and now!

I know I mentioned this in another thread, but John Putch was great in the low budget 1980s horror flick Curfew. His character and his character's brother are escaped death row inmates who get revenge on those who sentenced them. Putch, even though a villain and a killer, still manages to be likable.

You also get the bonus of Christopher Knight playing a cop.

What was "Plop, Pickle, Plunk"?

Obviously "Pickle" was placing the pickle, and "Plop" was something condimenty because of the quote in this thread about Ann plopping on Julie's shoe, but I'm not 100% certain what "Plop" is, nor can I remember "Plunk"...
