Default Where do you sit? (the real thread, lol)

So in classes, where did you/do you sit?

For me, it was always the back, if possible. Not cause I was a slacker---okay, well, I guess when it came to schoolwork I was---but mostly cause I'm an observer.

I just love to people-watch, and sittin' in the back always gave you such a great view to study people and sometimes come up with ideas about 'em. I'm also really shy to get to speak up around people until we really know each other well, then I can truly be my random, goofy self and not feel awkward. And once people know me, it's more expected and comfortable.

So, how 'bout y'all? What was/is your seat preference?

Its different in every class but I prefer to either right up front or in the back. I can't stand being in the middle! It makes me closterphobic (that is spelled completely wrong!)

Don't worry Jeff, that can be a tough word! It's "chlostrophobic" if you'd ever like to know, though.

And that's interesting it differs for you---I always tried to get a back seat, but if I couldn't, my next preference was one by a window. I'm a nature-lover, so love to look outside, and since I'm so big on people-watchin', that's always fun, too---especially on a college campus.

I like to sit in the front. I don't like the back because all the bad kids sit there.

It's exactly opposite for me. I have been marked a prep my whole life b/c of Elementary skool. NEwayz...we have assigned seats and all the bad kids end up sitting in the front. The good thing about being marked a 'preppy teachers pet' for life is I m always in the back...and I can usually get away with talking and all that stuff. Although...I think my 'preppy teachers pet' thing is beginning to wear off...I think my math teacher will move me to the front, though, if I get caught talking again...or hitting someone bacck there......I'm gonna go!

Well, I also have it different in each class. But like you said, those teachers know me well enough and let me sit where I want, while the (Not bad, but unknown) kids sit in front. I really don't have bad kids in my classes, justy people I don't know. I'm a junior and it's a small town and school, so I'm happy! I also don't care if it's in front or in back, but I really hate the middle like Jeff said. I'm not Clastophobic (I also spelled it wrong )but I just don't like having a person in front AND in back of me. But lucky me, this semester, I have 1/2 in front and 1/2 in back. No middle seats!!!

This is really interesting---y'all not mindin' front or back, but not the middle. I'd rather have the middle than the back if I had to, just cause I don't like that feelin' of bein' "on display" up front.

One thing about the middle I can like is sorta like feelin' like you're in the fun of all the fun and stuff (if that class can be fun), and surrounded by lotsa people to talk to and such. The Claustorfobic thing don't bother me none. lol

But I maintain my preference as a BACK guy.

we don't have assigned seating except in a few classes.. and my teachers always insist on putting me up front. Don't know why but I'm sure they have their reasons... but if I can try to wing it, I try to get the middle so I'm not too much in front or too much in back and can try to talk and all. I'm just a *little* talkative in class, if you know what I mean...

Cool

I sit on the ceiling

I sit in the front. I have vision and hearing problems, so I have to be in the front to see and hear the teacher.

It varies for every class, but in most of my classes I sit in the middle. I'd prefure to sit in the back. I feel funny sitting so close to the teaher.

I have an assigned seat in 3 of my classes.

1st period- I sit in the middle of the classroom
2nd period- In the front of the room
3rd period-front of the room
4th period- I sit in the middle of the classroom, but I'm sitting at a computer so I can talk to my friends and not get in trouble.
