Early this week I saw Small Wonder on YouTube and in the comments section someone pointed out that Candace Cameron was the producers' original choice to play Vicki but she turned it down. If the story is true, who knows who would've played D.J. Tanner.

Maybe in a weird bizarro scenario Tiffany Brisette would've gone onto Full House.

Soon after, she guest starred in roles on shows such as St. Elsewhere, Growing Pains, and Who's the Boss? (Among the roles for which she auditioned was the lead on Small Wonder, which ultimately went to Tiffany Brissette.)

It is true. On VH1's old series I Love The 80's there is a segment on Small Wonder and Candace Cameron says she auditioned for that part...she then said "Thank God I didn't get it!"

Who knows how far Candace's career would've gone had she got the Vicki role? Would she be doing those Hallmark and UP movies as well as ads for Star-Kist?
