Yep. TV Land played those ads to honor casualties in that tragic event. Here's a Wall Street Journal article that goes into detail about the negotiations that had to be done to replay those ads. It's an interesting read...

LOVED THE RETROMERCIALS!!!! Not long after they stopped playing them, I stopped watching TV LAND. Too much new junk now.

I remember seeing a particular retromercial only once or twice, and NOBODY seems to remember it. I stumbled on this message while searching. It was a commercial for Cole of California swimsuits and showed a beautiful girl on the beach in a very sexy one piece suit. At the end, she posed on a bed on the beach. If I remember correctly, the commercial was in B&W so I'm guessing it might have been from the 60s. THis was within probably the first couple of years that TV LAND aired. I can't find this ANYWHERE! Does ANYBODY else remember this retromercial and a possible place to view online? I'd just like to know that I'm not nuts and at least SOMEBODY else remembers it. Thanks!

My favorite was the Kellogg assortment ad with Peter Marshall.

Decades channel has been airing a Mary Tyler Moore Pepsodent commercial, probably from the very early 1970s. I like her voice in that one, and of course she looks fine.

You missed the Illinois Bell ad.

I remember going on TV Land’s section on AOL (remember those days) and downloaded audio clips of some of their retromercials (this was the late 90s where technology wasn’t as it is today.)

One of their ads was an animated ad for Illinois Bell that as far as the sound byte, it went like:

“I got touchstone/
I got touchtone/
We got touchtone. What more can you ask from life?”

Almost all of the retromercials have been available on YouTube but I can’t find this one. I believe it was from the 70s but I am not sure.

Anybody have a link to this commercial?
