Zendaya Joins Season 2 of "black-ish" in Guest-starring Role

Zendaya is heading to season 2 of "black-ish" for a guest-starring role, EW can confirm.

The teen queen (and all-around queen, really) will play Rasheida, a friend of Zoey’s (Yara Shahidi). Because Rasheida doesn’t have a father, she defers to Anthony Anderson’s Dre in his belief that fathers should be respected and “heralded,” according to an ABC character description.

Not a controversial position, to be sure, but something tells us that will lead to a him-or-me scenario that won’t end well for Zoey and Rasheida’s friendship.


"black-ish" returns Sept. 23 at 9:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
