Curious to see if anybody out there in RECORDland might have all the epsiodes that Jonathan Winters appeared in as MEARTH. Those shows were classics. My Father and I have been trying to track these down for quite sometime...

does anyone know the name of the episode that had williams and winters playing "great white hunter". i remember it as being one of the funniest things i'd ever seen - robin williams breaking up in the background as jonathan winters did his ad-libbing was SO funny. i'd love to get my hands on that clip...

The "great white hunter" stuff is in the 3rd season episode "Mork and the Family Reunion". That was Winters' first appearance on the show, playing Mindy's uncle (which provides a little gene pool logic for Mearth). It's available on the Season 3 set, in stores now.
Season 4 has all the (underrated) Mearth episodes. It's not on DVD at the moment. Maybe on April 22nd? (See my new post) |

Robin Williams has stated that Jonathan Winters was his greatest influence,
and I'm sure that it was a big thrill for him to finally meet him and get to work with him. But, if you really want to see Jonathan at his best (and funniest), I strongly recommend the classic movie "It's a Mad, Mad, Mad, Mad World." As the truck driver, he is a riot! |

i FINALLY found the "great white hunter" bit online - after years of looking. it can be found at
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9E-SOpGBFcc but i'd kill for a higher quality version of it to watch on a big television screen. youtube just doesn't really cut it... |
