There's a virus on my computer that I can't get rid of!
I hate ****ing viruses on my computer! This one, every time I click on something...there's a pop-up! I have a lot of things to get rid of this malware, but this malware is saying "I don't wanna leave"!
I tried everything, but I might as well have these ****ing pop-ups win! I hate that! |

It is awful when your computer gets a nasty virus. Have you totally shut down your computer and logged back in then immediately before going to any sites that pop ups will start and run you Anti Malware Software. Also running a clean sweep of your computer would be a good thing to do as well.

Luckily, I had AT&T help me get rid of that virus.
I dunno how it got on despite having anti-malware stuff? |

what version of windows are you using? what antivirus ?
are there any specific identifying messages in the pop-ups? what browser are you using and is it redirecting your searches to another site (if so what site)? you might want to try running your antivirus and anti-malware programs in safe mode - that way the virus is (hopefully) not running in the background when you are trying to remove it - a lot of times the virus will prevent it removal. if you haven't already tried them, download on another computer and save it to a disk and then install to the infected computer: - Superantispyware - Malwarebytes - Spybot Search & Destroy - Microsoft Malicious Software Removal Tool (you can download the non-update version from the link there - Norton Power Eraser if you can't run these programs in Safemode, then run RKill first - this attempts to stop the processes running in the background so the other tools can do their job. |
