"The Muppets" First Musical Guest Star is Imagine Dragons
by Marc Snetiker 8/4/15 It’s time to play the “Radioactive”! It’s time to play the “Demons”! Imagine Dragons is coming to "The Muppets", as announced by the show’s executive producers Bill Prady and Bob Kushell during the TCA press tour panel for ABC’s upcoming mockumentary sitcom. They’ll appear on the show’s series premiere on Sept. 22 on ABC. The band will play themselves as a musical guest on "Up Late with Miss Piggy", the late-night talk show hosted by Miss Piggy where Kermit and company work on the new docu-style comedy. However, Kushell reminded the crowd that the revised take on the Muppets is not a variety show, and musical acts will only be one element of the overall series, which follows the unprecedented personal lives of Kermit, Piggy, Fozzie, Gonzo, and the rest as they contend with the modern world. http://www.ew.com/article/2015/08/04...cal-guest-star |
